Thank you to all staff and patients who joined us for the sponsored walk on 8th September. We were fortunate to have great weather and the 3-mile walk was thoroughly enjoyed by all and it incorporated lovely views over Harrow. It also included a taster in Tai Chi to help reduce stress, enhance mobility and help reduce the risk of falls.
The walk was a great success and raised over £700 for charity. This is going to the Peace hospice in Watford (www.peacehospicecare.org.uk) who do a fantastic job of looking after end-of-life patients. The donations are being put together with those received for a bigger trek in Kenya next February, where I (Tracey Davies) will endeavour to walk 90 kms over 6 days in the wilds of the Rift Valley. The target donation has almost been met at £3300.00.
Thank you all for your continued support. We are grateful to The Enderley Road Patients Association who did a fantastic job helping to recruit walkers, joining us on the walk and for organising the Tai chi mentors.
