Hardship Fund
The Council has set up a Hardship fund to provide some financial assistance to people experiencing extreme financial hardship due to the coronavirus.

In summary the scheme consists of three elements:
- 1. Award of up to £150 reduction to 2020/21 council tax charge for all current working age council tax support recipients as at 31/3/20
- 2. Ad hoc awards of up to £150 reduction to council tax for 2020/21 where the liable party is experiencing financial hardship due to the coronavirus. In most instances the applicant must be in receipt of council tax support
- 3. Ad hoc award of financial assistance or food packages to households experiencing extreme financial hardship due to the coronavirus.
These funds are limited.

Register if you have a medical condition that makes you extremely vulnerable to coronavirus. For example, you’ll be able to ask for help getting deliveries of essential supplies like food.
If you’re not sure whether your medical condition makes you extremely vulnerable, register anyway.
